« back to classes page
This combined course focuses on two of the most important areas of the law that the average person needs to know about and will provide significant insights into planning for long-term care, wills, estate planning and probate procedures.  Statistics show that 7 out of 10 elderly people will find their assets depleted to a poverty level within one year if nursing home care is required.  This course will explore the Medicaid laws and the planning options which are available to help protect your assets.  This course will also examine the basics of estate planning, including changes in the Federal and New Jersey Estate Taxes, as well as the use of trusts, how probate works in general and the need for related estate planning documents such as Durable Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
