Whether the tail is attached to a shark, mermaid or whale, you will enjoy creating sculptures using a wide variety of modeling materials and found objects. Working over a wire and aluminum foil armature (skeleton) you will apply low firing polymer clay to build your creation’s form. Detailing work will include acrylic paint and finishing with a gloss glaze. Younger students will work with basic forms such as spheres, cones, and egg shapes. Older students will spend more time mastering detailed armatures. This workshop will bring your creativity into the three-dimensional world. Every student will receive an original poster size drawing by the instructor.
