This yoga course is designed for new and seasoned yoga practitioners alike. Learn to move through a yoga practice “from the bones” with safety and therapeutic intent. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation 44 million Americans have low bone density or osteoporosis. Studies show weight bearing exercises, which exert pressure on the bones, help to stimulate bone remodeling and calcium absorption (key factors to maintaining bone health.) Each Yoga session will encompass a full range of spinal motion and weight bearing exercises (both classical poses and adaptations) designed to maintain and support the skeletal system.
