Come From Away is based on the true story of when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander’s air strip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family. Bette Midler. Hello, Dolly!  Michael Stewart’s (book) and Jerry Herman’s (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!, returns to Broadway starring none other than Bette Midler. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks. Hello, Dolly! tells the story of an outspoken matchmaker and her attempts to marry "half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder. This production, the first new production of Hello, Dolly! to appear on Broadway since it opened more than fifty years ago, will pay tribute to the original work of legendary director/choreographer Gower Champion, which has been hailed both then and now as one of the greatest stagings in musical theater history. An English professor of phonetics makes a bet that he can transform a Cockney flower girl into a lady, in Lerner and Loewe's musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. Boasting a score that contains such now-classic songs as "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Get Me to the Church On Time," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," "On the Street Where You Live," and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," My Fair Lady is back on Broadway for the first time in 25 years in a new production from Lincoln Center.
